Sacha Parkinson was "fuming" when she first read Coronation Street's lesbian love triangle storyline.

The 19-year-old actress - who plays Sian Powers in the ITV1 soap - admitted she was "so jealous" when she first heard her on-screen girlfriend Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) would cheat on her with Amber Kaliari (Nikki Patel).

She told BANG Showbiz: "I was so jealous when I first read the storyline. I was absolutely fuming. I was like, 'How could Sophie do that to Sian?'."

The blonde beauty - who is leaving 'Coronation Street' in early 2012 - confessed she has got "lazy" during her time in the soap, and is now keen to take on a new challenge and play a rebellious character in E4 teen drama 'Skins'.

Speaking at Monday night's (26.09.11) Inside Soap Awards at London's Gilgamesh venue, she added: "I came in to do my storyline and I've done it and now it's on to the next challenge. I hate thinking about it because it makes me cry, but my time has come to move on.

"Before 'Corrie' I was doing dramas and low-budget films and I just want to get back into that really. Do you know what? I really want to be in 'Skins' because I want to be a rebel and I'm really not in real life.

"I just can't wait to audition again and get my teeth back into things. I've started to become lazy and when you become lazy it's time to move on."
