Danny Miller thinks Emmerdale's Adam Barton is "gagging for it".
The 20-year-old actor - who portrays gay mechanic Aaron Livesy in the ITV1 soap - explained while his alter-ego is still mourning the loss of his quadriplegic boyfriend Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock) following his assisted suicide, he would like to eventually see his character move on with hunky farmer Adam (Adam Thomas)
He told BANG Showbiz: "We'll see Aaron moving on with his life and try to get over Jackson and generally grow up over the coming months.
"But to stay true to the storyline, I don't think he should be dating again any time soon. He's still got a lot of guilt over Jackson.
"I think Adam Barton has always been gagging for it! He just won't admit it."
Danny also admitted he has to forget all about the woes of his character when he leaves the 'Emmerdale' set each night, as if he didn't he would be an "alcoholic" by now.
Speaking at Monday night's (26.09.11) Inside Soap Awards at London's exclusive Gilgamesh venue, he said: "I have to leave my character behind when I go home for the evening. If I didn't, I would be an alcoholic by now!
"I would like to do some happier stuff, but at the end of the day there's no drama with happy storylines."
