Doctor Who and a baby
Matt Smith claims 'Doctor Who' episode 'Closing Time' - which guest-stars James Corden - is like ''Three Men and a Baby'' with Cybermen.
Matt Smith says this week's 'Doctor Who' adventure is like "Three Men and a Baby" with Cybermen.
The 28-year-old actor loved reuniting with James Corden, who is returning to the sci-fi series as Craig Owens, for 'Closing Time' and he insists the episode has a lot in common with the 1987 comedy movie - which starred Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson.
He told BANG Showbiz: "It's sort of like 'Three Men and a Baby' but there are Cybermen - it's really great fun. Although the Cybermen in it are really messed up, which I like because I don't want them to be too polished."
Matt and James first appeared together in 'The Lodger', which saw the Time Lord share a flat with Craig before the pair discovered a mysterious spacecraft hiding on top of the call centre worker's home.
Although Craig had trouble adapting to life with the Doctor, Matt would love to live with the eccentric alien.
He said: "I'd love to share a flat with the Doctor. I mean what would drive me mad? So much of course! But if you asked me today would I go and be the Doctor's companion the answer would be yes, absolutely. I mean it would be the most wonderful thing in the world, but what would drive me mad? Threats for my life . aliens, Cybermen walking in, you know, strange creepy little girls at the top of staircases, but I'd definitely roll with it. He'd be a great flat mate - the best! Never there, you know, and he doesn't really eat."
'Closing Time' - which also sees the return of Daisy Haggard as Craig's girlfriend Sophie - airs on BBC One on tonight (24.09.11) at 7.10pm.
