John Wilding worried about X Factor pressure
'X Factor' contestant John Wilding has admitted the pressure on him to follow in Alexandra Burke's footsteps and win the show is huge after he wowed the judges on his return
John Wilding feels huge pressure to succeed on 'The X Factor' because Alexandra Burke won the show when she returned for a second time.
The 18-year-old hopeful - who failed to make it past the Judges' Houses stage of the competition last year - hopes he can emulate the success of the 'Bad Boys' singer, but admitted he had mixed feelings about returning to perform in front of Louis Walsh and new judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland.
He explained: "I do think I'm under more pressure because Alexandra Burke won it the second time she came back.
"The vibe was much different with the new judging panel, they were really lively and warm, really nice but at the same time it was kind of like a clean slate but also with the other judges not being there they didn't have the chance to see how I've changed."
John received a standing ovation from the panel - which last year featured Louis, Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue - with his rendition of Jennifer Hudson's 'Love You Like I Do' although he did agonise over his song choice.
He added in an interview with ITV1's 'This Morning': "Picking the song was quite hard because there I had to measure up to last year but once you get on that stage you just have to go for it and enjoy it.
"It's like an out of body experience being up in front of those judges, it feels like you're watching it at home on TV."
