Russell Grant wants glittery Strictly outfits
Russell Grant has confessed he ''worships at the altar'' of 'Strictly Come Dancing' and is looking forward to wearing an array of ''glittery'' ballroom outfits.
Russell Grant wants his 'Strictly Come Dancing' outfits to be as "glittery" as possible.
The astrologer is very excited to be competing on this year's series of the BBC One ballroom dancing show and has asked the wardrobe department for as many flamboyant outfits as possible.
He told HELLO! magazine: "I worship at the altar of 'Strictly.'. I put off a new TV series in America that I was due to start in September because I wanted to do this. Anyone would be excited to wear this kind of drag! We're getting paid to look fabulous. I did tell them my outfit wasn't glittery enough, so they added some stars."
Although Russell is really looking forward to dressing up for the live shows, he isn't sure that every extravagant will look good on him.
He added: "In yellow I look like I've got liver disease and in red I just look like I'm angry, like Mount Etna on legs!"
The 60-year-old star - who has lost an incredible 140lbs since 2009 - admits the first routine he tried out for 'Strictly.' left him shattered.
Recalling his first steps as a dancer, Russell - who has been paired with professional dancer Flavia Cacace - said: "I was exhausted, I was like, 'I need an oxygen tent.' "
