The man who assisted Amanda Holden after she was involved in a car crash on Wednesday (07.09.11) has admitted he did not know it was the 'Britain's Got Talent' her when he first went to help
A van driver who helped Amanda Holden after she was in a car crash didn't recognise her when he went to help.
Simon Easton rushed to help the 'Britain's Got Talent' judge - who is four months pregnant - after her Mini Cooper was hit by a lorry in London on Wednesday (07.09.11) and he even got a kiss for his troubles.
He said: "I was stunned. I said, 'You're that woman off the telly aren't you?'
"She giggled and said, 'Yeah, I'm that woman off the telly.' When I dropped her at the hospital, she kissed me.
"The car was in a bad way, I thought, 'My God, I hope that woman's baby is alright.' "
Simon, 33, helped move Amanda's car off the road after the incident, and comforted the shaken TV star, who confirmed she felt like her baby with husband Chris Hughes was OK.
He added to The Sun newspaper: "She was shaking and in shock. When I asked her if she was OK, she said. 'I think the baby is alright.' "
Simon took Amanda to Middlesex hospital, and two hours later he received a call from Amanda's assistant to say thanks and offer him tickets for her West End show 'Shrek: The Musical', in which she stars as Princess Fiona.
Amanda has since tweeted she is doing well but still has a "very achy" neck following the crash.
