Simon Cowell wants Cheryl on BGT
Simon Cowell would be happy for Cheryl Cole to be a judge on the next series of 'Britain's Got Talent'
Simon Cowell wants Cheryl Cole to be a judge on 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The music mogul - who sensationally sacked the Girls Aloud beauty from the US version of 'The X Factor' after just four auditions - admits he would be happy for her to join the panel of the ITV1 show following the departure of David Hasselhoff.
Simon is quoted by the Daily Mirror as saying: "Cheryl for 'Britain's Got Talent'? That could work. She was offered it before 'X Factor' but two days beforehand got cold feet and turned it down, so we got Amanda Holden.
"Would she do 'Britain's Got Talent' now? Well, we've got to start talking first of all, I don't think we've fallen out, by the way."
Simon left the UK version of the show - which is now judged by Kelly Rowland, Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh - to work full time on the US version, and he says the final in Britain will likely be toned down following a deluge of complaints about the sexy routine performed by Christina Aguilera last year.
He said: "Based on the reaction after last year's final with Christina Aguilera we'll have to tone it down a bit this series.
"We take our cues from the public reaction - you can't keep doing the same thing year after year after year."
