Amy Childs 'distraught' at TOWIE exit
Amy Childs admits she is ''distraught'' to have left 'The Only Way Is Essex' to appear on 'Celebrity Big Brother'
Amy Childs is "distraught" to have left 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
The 21-year-old beauty - who quit the ITV2 show to appear on 'Celebrity Big Brother' - admitted heading to Essex nightclub Sugar Hut to film a one-off special for the upcoming third series of 'TOWIE' was an emotional experience, as she was in "floods" of tears.
Prior to her entrance to the infamous house, she wrote in her column for new! magazine: "I had to go to Sugar Hut and film a special for 'TOWIE'. Basically, it's a recap of all the best bits from series one and two - all the funny moments, all the awkward silences. It was also my chance to say goodbye to the show.
"It takes a lot to make me cry but I was in floods! Sam Faiers had a little cry with me. I'm still distraught. I'm going to miss it so much."
However, Amy's former co-star James 'Arg' Argent recently claimed 'TOWIE' will "definitely" work without the redhead beauty.
He said: "'The Only Way Is Essex' will definitely work without Amy. In series two she was only in it now and then and series two was just as big as series one, if not bigger.
"Obviously Amy will be missed but I think from how series two was received it proves the show is more than capable of doing well and carrying on without her being there."
