Louis Walsh: Cheryl Cole wasn't up to US X Factor
Louis Walsh thinks Cheryl Cole ''wasn't up to'' being a judge on the US 'X Factor', and believes the star's TV career is now over
Louis Walsh thinks Cheryl Cole "wasn't up to" being a judge on the US 'X Factor'.
The Irish star - who is the only remaining original panellist on the UK version of the ITV1 show - thinks the Geordie beauty missed the mark with her fashion choices, which ultimately lead to her firing from the series.
He explained: "I think if you go and do 'The X Factor' in America you've got to be prepared to really work and you have to play the game and work the room and wear all the right clothes and do all the right things.
"I don't think Cheryl did that. I don't think she was in the right place to do that. She wasn't up to it. You have to know what you're getting into - America is like another planet."
After the 'Promise This' hitmaker refused a place on the panel of the UK series, Louis - who now judges 'The X Factor' alongside Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos - thinks her TV career is over and done with.
He added to heat magazine: "I think she did her TV stint, it's done. I think Cheryl should be on 'The X Factor' with a new single but that's it."
