Corrie rapist to target Sally Webster
Coronation Street rapist Frank Foster is set to target Sally Webster next as the soap's harrowing storyline continues.
Sally Webster is to become the next target of Weatherfield rapist Frank Foster, in a harrowing new 'Coronation Street' storyline.
The factory worker (Sally Dynevor) will begin a relationship with the sexual predator - portrayed by actor Andrew Lancel - after he is bailed for the rape of his former fiancee Carla Connor (Alison King).
However, the relationship is part of Frank's scheme to get revenge on Carla for reporting him to the police.
Firstly, he raids the Underworld factory, in which he is a business partner, and takes half the machinery and stock and then promises Sally - who is vulnerable after her split from cheating husband Kevin and a cancer battle - a big pay rise and new job if she helps him set up the new company.
Despite Carla warning her not to get involved with the twisted businessman and telling her what he did to her, Sally chooses to believe Carla is just jealous of her burgeoning relationship with Frank, leading to dire consequences for her.
A source told the People newspaper: "Sally thinks she is finally getting somewhere but Frank's got a very different and much darker agenda. She looks likely to become the next victim for his depraved sexual violence. It will inevitably lead to a very dark chapter in Sally's life."
Despite the harrowing subject matter, viewers have been assured the distressing storyline for Sally will be screened in a sensitive but realistic way.
The source added: "The storyline will be dealt with sensitively. Viewers won't be subjected to X-rated scenes. But at the same time, it's really dramatic and will keep people gripped."
