X Factor final to be in Wembley arena
This year's 'X Factor' final will take place at Wembley Arena for the first time, former show winner Alexandra Burke has confirmed.
'The X Factor' final will take place at Wembley Arena for the first time.
This year's programme will see the most spectacular end to the series yet, with the last remaining competitors taking to the stage at the 12,500 capacity London venue in front of judges Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland.
Speaking at the launch of Talk Talk Bright Stage, former show winner Alexandra Burke said: "We can finally put the rumours to be and I can confirm that 'The X Factor' final will be held at Wembley Arena for the first time ever.
"It's a new generation of judges and it's going to be so exciting.
"Everyone wants to go to the final and it means thousands of people can go rather than a couple of hundred like before. Talk Talk are giving away 100 tickets for 100 days so it's a great opportunity."
Alexandra - who was mentored by former judge Cheryl Cole when she won the show in 2008 - thinks the new panel will freshen up this year's programme and praised the "fantastic" new additions to the show.
She told BANG Showbiz: "When I found out Gary Barlow was going to be a judge I was like, 'Gary Barlow all the way.'
"I think the new line-up will be fantastic for the show, it's fresh.
"Tulisa will give it that swagger and edge that no other judge has ever been able to give. She knows what the kids want and what's cool and she's going to give the show a whole new edge. She'll produce some great acts."
