Geordie Shore to move locations?
Geordie Shore's stars may have to move to Manchester, Leeds or Sheffield for the second series of the MTV show, as producers can't find anywhere to house them
Geordie Shore's stars may have to move to another northern city as producers can't find anywhere to house them.
MTV bosses are reportedly struggling to find any landlords in Newcastle - where the outrageous show is currently set - who are prepared to let a property to the show's housemates after they were seen drunkenly having sex, vomiting and fighting during the first series of the reality programme.
The owner of the house used in season one of 'Geordie Shore' was said to be horrified when he saw what the gang - Holly Hagan, Jay Gardner, James Tindale, Sophie Kasaei, Vicky Pattison, Charlotte Crosby, Gaz Beadle and Greg Lake - got up to in his property.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Unfortunately the show proved too shocking for people.
"And Geordies got upset that it gave them a bad name so folk aren't exactly welcoming them with open arms.
"Since the producers are having trouble finding anyone who will hire out their home to Gaz, Charlotte, James, Jay, Hollie, Greg, Vicky and Sophie, a move seems the only solution."
Producers are now said to be considering moving the show to Manchester, Leeds or Sheffield, although they are adamant that even if the location is moved it will still be called 'Geordie Shore'.
After 'Geordie Shore' pulled in MTV's largest adult audience in three years, the broadcaster commissioned a Liverpool-based version of the show, named 'Mersey Shore'.
An insider recently revealed: "Scousers are always up for a drink and a night on the tiles. We think 'Mersey Shore' will be just as explosive as 'Geordie Shore'."
