Tulisa Contostavlos shells out 12k on teeth
'X Factor' judge Tulisa Contostavlos has shelled out £12,000 on dental work ready for the launch of the ITV1 show next week
Tulisa Contostavlos has spent £12,000 on dental work in preparation for 'The X Factor'.
The N-Dubz singer - who is joined the judging panel of the ITV1 show by Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Kelly Rowland - has undergone a series of procedures to get her teeth straightened and whitened in order to look better on television.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Tulisa has not got bad teeth by any stretch of the imagination. She's hardly Austin Powers.
She had a few problems when she was younger but nothing serious. Since she became famous she has become aware they are not perfectly aligned, so she decided to pay for a bit of help.
"It didn't come cheap but she's determined she will look the part. She has been going through some serious dental surgery over the last couple of weeks to get them right."
Meanwhile, stylist Grace Woodward has been sacked from 'The X Factor', with show chief Simon Cowell reportedly unhappy with her bizarre clothing choices in the last series - including dressing Katie Waissel in a helmet-style headdress and pink leggings, and giving eventual winner Matt Cardle bright yellow trousers - and he now wants a more famous fashionista involved.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Simon wasn't always a fan of Grace's styling and they've decided to look for someone else. The feeling was they wanted more of a household name."
Grace's publicist said: "What Grace did last year was get people talking about the fashion on the show - and she did make a style icon out of Rebecca Ferguson."
