Gavin Henson 'desperate for a girlfriend'
Gavin Henson agreed to take part in Channel 5's reality TV show 'The Bachelor' because he is desperate for a girlfriend.
Gavin Henson is "desperate" for a girlfriend.
The rugby ace - who split from singer Charlotte Church last year - has signed up to appear in Channel 5's reality series 'The Bachelor', which will see the hunk attempt to woo 25 gorgeous girls before eventually choosing one to date, and Gavin can't wait to find love again.
He said: "I used to believe in love at first sight, but now I'm a bit more guarded. I'm not very trusting. I've had my heart broken but my past relationships have taught me a few things.
"I've been single now for 15 months so maybe I am getting desperate. It has been a while."
Although Gavin - who has two children, Ruby, three, and two-year-old Dexter with Charlotte - is hoping to find his soul mate on the show, he has no plans to introduce any new love interest to his kids until he is sure it is serious.
He explained: "I probably wouldn't tell Ruby and Dexter that I had a girlfriend until I knew that it was genuine at first. They wouldn't need know that Daddy had a girlfriend straight away."
While Gavin enjoyed being surrounded by a bevy of beauties in the South of France while filming the new show, he does get intimidated when he has to address them all at once.
He added to the Daily Star newspaper: "It's an amazing experience to have so much female attention they are all beautiful.
"It is slightly intimidating when I have to address them all but it is amazing. No single guy would turn this down."
