Alex Jones is set to sign a £150,000 deal to stay on 'The One Show' for another year.
The Welsh TV presenter - who was rumoured to have been getting axed from the BBC One teatime show - is reportedly on the verge of signing the lucrative contract, as well as being a contestant on this year's series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
A source said: "She's really enjoying her time at the BBC and has taken to 'The One Show' like a duck to water.
"Alex loves getting stuck in and being offered 'Strictly' is another chance to show how game for a laugh she is. It's a dream come true and shows how the BBC has great faith in her."
The 34-year-old star - who co-presents 'The One Show' alongside Matt Baker - is also set to front part of this year's BBC Proms in the Park, presenting from Caerphilly, South Wales, and Alex says it's a dream come true.
She said: "It will be incredible."
Insiders claim Alex is regarded very highly at the BBC and bosses see her as one of the corporation's big stars.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Alex is exactly what the BBC should be about, developing young talent and turning them into stars."
