Stella Price's secret rape hell
Coronation Street's Stella Price is to reveal to terrified Carla Connor that she went through a traumatising rape
Coronation Street's Stella Price is to reveal she went through a traumatising rape.
The Rovers Return landlady - played by Michelle Collins - will reveal all to devastated Carla Connor (Alison King) after she confides in her that she has suffered the same terrifying ordeal at the hands of fiance Frank Foster (Andrew Lancel).
With Carla being the first person Stella has ever told about the brutal attack by an ex-boyfriend a number of years ago, the brunette beauty decides the best course of action is to return to work at the Underworld factory.
However, when a male client accidentally touches her leg, Carla is so shocked she immediately vomits in the street.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "Carla is horrified to hear that Stella too has gone through a similar torment. The pair have a real heart-to-heart. They are both strong women and they soon become firm friends."
While Carla is too terrified to testify in court about the attack, Michelle attempts to convince her she will regret it for the rest of her life if she lets evil Frank off the hook.
However, things look set to get a lot worse for the usually bolshie businesswoman, as it was recently revealed Carla will fear she has contracted HIV and attempt suicide.
A source said: "Carla is at rock bottom. She prides herself on being invincible and feels utterly broken by Frank's actions. Peter is the only friend she has left and she's never felt rejection like it. She wants to end it all."
