Michelle Keegan signs 6-figure Corrie contract
Michelle Keegan has signed a ''six-figure contract'' to remain on 'Coronation Street' for at least one more year
Michelle Keegan has signed a "six-figure contract" to remain on 'Coronation Street'.
The 24-year-old actress - who has played feisty Tina McIntyre in the ITV1 soap since 2007 - will see her £90,000 deal pushed "well into six figures" to guarantee her at least one more year on the show.
TV bosses are said to be currently thrashing out the final details of the contract, but Michelle has already told pals that this year - which has also seen her get engaged to The Wanted hunk Max George - has been "the best of her life".
A 'Corrie' source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Michelle is over-the-moon. She was always confident of being offered anew deal but actors' jobs are never secure.
"She says that life just can't get any better at the moment and so far this year has been the best of her life."
The brunette beauty recently admitted she was keen for her alter-ego to live the single life for a while, as Tina has always been a serial monogamist.
Michelle said: "I wish they would leave Tina single for a while. I think she needs a bit of time without a boyfriend, but that's not what's happening, as she's got a new fella on the way. She always goes from one to the other."
