Olly Murs has promised to crack plenty of ''dad jokes'' on 'The Xtra Factor', but they don't seem to be impressing co-host Caroline Flack.
Olly Murs will be cracking plenty of "dad jokes" on 'The Xtra Factor'.
The 'Please Don't Let Me Go' hitmaker - who is presenting the 'X Factor' spin-off show alongside Caroline Flack - admitted his ITV2 co-host is already growing tired of his failed attempts at being a comedian.
He said: "I said to her the other day in a smooth voice, 'You're looking tan-tastic today'. She'd just come back from holiday. She thought it was the cheesiest thing ever heard. You will hear a lot of dad jokes on 'The Xtra Factor'.
"I've pulled out a few classics along the way."
After coming second to Joe McElderry on the ITV1 talent show - presented by Dermot O'Leary - in 2009, Olly explained he is hoping to impart his 'X Factor' words of wisdom on to this year's hopefuls.
He recently said: "What makes Dermot so good on the main show is that he is so down to earth. Within a second you almost feel Dermot is one of your best mates. Hopefully that's what Caroline and I can bring to it.
"We are also going to be like their mates. I hope my experience of the show will rub off on the contestants and we'll get the best out of them."
