Hannah Waterman has become a mother for the first time.
The former 'EastEnders' actress - who played Laura Beale in the BBC One soap for four years - recently gave birth to a baby boy and while both mother and son are doing well, no further details have yet been released, according to MailOnline.
The 36-year-old star surprised fans when she announced she was pregnant, as it was thought she was single after splitting from long-term partner Ricky Grove last January.
However, she later revealed 'The Bill' star Huw Higginson was the father and they had been quietly dating since last summer.
Speaking about their relationship, Hannah has previously said: "I've been friends with Huw on and off for 10 years. We first met when he played my pervy landlord in 'EastEnders', but since then we've been in two plays together.
"Last year, Huw came a bit unstuck in his personal life and I was on tour with 'Calendar Girls', so he stayed at my house for a while. He moved in in June, and things progressed quite quickly from there!"
However, the loved-up couple planned to start trying for a baby almost as soon as they got together.
Hannah added: "We spoke early on in our relationship about the fact that we'd like a family. I'm 35 and I didn't want to wait around because, as everyone knows, it can be harder to conceive as you get older. But we didn't expect it to happen so quickly."
