Tom Pellereau still waiting for Apprentice business
'The Apprentice' winner Tom Pellereau still hasn't set up his business with multi-millionaire technology mogul Lord Alan Sugar
Tom Pellereau still hasn't set up his business with Lord Alan Sugar.
The 32-year-old inventor scooped a £250,000 investment from the technology tycoon when he won the BBC One reality show last month, but he admits he and the Amstrad mogul are still in negotiations over how he will use the money.
Tom said: "No, we haven't started the business yet, we're in talks. There are a lot of phone conversations and emails at the moment."
Tom insists his new business partner is exactly the same in real life as he is on the show, though he thinks some of Alan's better qualities are played down on the programme.
He added to OK! magazine: "He is most definitely as he is on the show, but there are certain parts of his personality which don't come across as strongly as they could.
"He's incredibly loyal. A lot of his staff have worked for him for 30-plus years, which shows what a straight-up, honest and loyal guy he is."
Tom has remained friends with many of his fellow 'Apprentice' contestants and insists there were none that he didn't get along with.
He said: "I got on with everyone. Boring isn't it? I had a tough time because all my team kept leaving.
"I'm still friends with Jim, Helen - we're hoping to go for a meal some time - and I missed a call from Melody earlier. She's lovely."
