Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole end feud
Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole have ended their feud after the music mogul rang the Girls Aloud singer and ''pleaded'' for them to be friends again
Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole have called a truce on their feud.
The Girls Aloud singer and the music mogul - who fell out after he axed her as a judge from the US version of 'X Factor' after barely a week - have become friends again after Simon rang the 28-year-old beauty and "pleaded" for the pair to be make up.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Cheryl was thoroughly hurt and embarrassed by the whole US debacle. But she's done a lot of thinking over the past few weeks, and has moved on.
"She texted Simon back with a message poking fun at his treatment of her. Simon was delighted. He called her shortly afterwards and pleaded for them to be pals again."
Cheryl - who was replaced on the American show by Nicole Scherzinger - has already declined to take up her old role as a panellist on the UK 'X Factor', which is judged by Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos - but Simon is "desperate" for her to be a guest judge on the ITV1 singing competition.
The friend added: "Simon's made no secret of the fact he'd love to work with Cheryl again and, as far as he is concerned, the door is always open to her. At the moment, there is a fifth guest judge role on UK 'X Factor' and Simon is desperate for Cheryl to alternate with him in this role.
"She'd be a fantastic surprise addition to the live final stages of the show."
