Amy Childs quits TOWIE?
Amy Childs has reportedly quit 'The Only Way is Essex' because ITV bosses were reluctant to let her take part in other reality shows
Amy Childs has reportedly quit 'The Only Way is Essex'.
The 21-year-old beauty - who is thought to have been offered £200,000 to appear in a new edition of 'Celebrity Big Brother' - is believed to opted out of a third series of the ITV2 programme after its bosses vetoed her plans to appear in other reality shows.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: 'The Only Way Is Essex' is a community show. It stars 'TOWIE' people, not 'Big Brother' wannabes - it's new and fresh. It's bizarre that Amy wants to do a show that was axed last year for being out of date.
"It's sad she's leaving - viewers liked her. But no one's bigger than the show."
A friend of Amy's added: "You can imagine how her life would improve with that cash. There are no hard feelings."
The beautician wants to be "bigger than Jordan" and thinks she can net deals worth around £500,000.
Amy - who has recently been linked with 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!' and 'Strictly Come Dancing' - recently revealed she hopes a Hollywood producer will spot her on the reality show and make her into a star like Cameron Diaz.
She said: "TOWIE' has been sold to loads of different countries all over the world - how weird to think of people watching us in Sweden and places like that!
"It's also going to be shown on Virgin Atlantic flights, so a Hollywood producer might spot me. Move over Cameron Diaz! I'd like to see myself going to Los Angeles, actually. It's really glam, just like Essex."
