Ralf Little promises Royle Family Christmas special
Ralf Little has confirmed writers are currently working on a new 'The Royle Family' Christmas special
Ralf Little has promised a new 'The Royle Family' Christmas special.
The 'Cafe' actor - who plays dopey dogsbody Antony Royle in the BBC comedy drama - confirmed writers are currently working on a new episode to be aired over the festive period, although he has no idea what's in store for his character.
He told BANG Showbiz: "We're working on a Christmas special again this year. We don't know what it's about yet to be honest, we're still working on it but we'll definitely have something new for Christmas."
Ralph has co-written a new Sky 1 HD comedy 'The Cafe' with Michelle Terry and he admitted getting his 'The Royle Family' co-star Craig Cash to work on the project as director was a huge help.
He added: "It's been great having Craig directing something I've written because he's just so chilled out. He's not the type to have a go at anyone.
"We've known each other since I was 17 so for 14 years and we're mates as well so we take the p**s out of each other as well so when I showed him what I wrote he said, 'Yeah I think we can make something of it'.
"To have Craig on your side is huge and he steered us in the right direction. He was like a mentor really. He gave us free reign really although he joked he could just cut it in the editing suite anyway."
'The Cafe' will be on Sky1 HD later this year.
