Sally Lindsay: I didn't steal Loose Women job
Sally Lindsay had no idea she was replacing Kate Thornton and Zoe Tyler on 'Loose Women', and insists she didn't steal their jobs.
Sally Lindsay had no idea she was replacing Kate Thornton and Zoe Tyler on 'Loose Women'.
The 'Mount Pleasant' actress and Carol Vorderman will be added to panel of the ITV1 daytime chat show when the series returns after its summer break but Sally admitted she was shocked to discover she wasn't just joining the existing panellists, but was actually replacing two of the stars.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I felt a bit bad about that because I didn't actually know that anybody was leaving, I thought there was like a big gang of panellists.
"I think there's about 15 women who do it because they change it all the time but honestly I didn't know about it and I do feel bad about it. It's not the best thing to happen, is it?"
However, despite the controversy, Sally can't wait to start shooting the show and admitted the short working hours were one of the reasons she signed on.
She said: "I'm definitely doing it, it's official. I'm really looking forward to it. It's great, it's a laugh, I quite like the idea of it. I'm slightly scared. I think I'll hold my own, I hope so.
"I am looking forward to getting stuck into it though and best of all I'll be home by half past two."
'Mount Pleasant' will hit TV screens on Sky1 HD in late August.
