Marcus Bentley has confirmed he will be the voiceover for 'Big Brother'.

The infamous narrator - who has been the voice of the reality TV show since it launched on Channel 4 in July 2000 - says he will return for the new series when it re-launches on Channel 5 with 'Celebrity Big Brother' next month.

He tweeted: "Right guys! I've waited since April to say this ... So here goes, I AM THE VOICE OF BIG BROTHER ! (sic)"

Marcus has already started work and says he can't wait to for viewers to see what producers have in store.

He wrote: "Just came out of Channel 5 after doing a load of exciting VoiceOver for BiG bro. The new eye looks amazing as do the promos! (sic)"

Earlier today (22.07.11) it was revealed Brian Dowling was the new host of 'Big Brother'.

The Irish star - who shot to fame after winning the show in 2001 and 'Ultimate Big Brother' last year - will take over from Davina McCall.

He said: "I will tell them, 'BB house. This is Brian. Please swear'. I'm not Davina. I'll be me.

"I am so excited. When they told me I was like, 'Oh my God! Are you sure?'

"I'm just so chuffed. It was about two months of talks and going back and forth, they told me about two weeks ago and I had to keep it a secret. But that was a good chance for me to let it sink in."
