Carol McGiffin is worried Carol Vorderman will make 'Loose Women' too "upmarket".
The former 'Countdown' star - who is known for her brains rather than her banter - is being lined up to replace Kate Thornton after she was sacked from the ITV1 show, but McGiffin isn't sure she's right for the job.
When asked by TV host Alan Carr if she feared Vorderman was too "upmarket", she said: "They have been talking to her, so yeah, it's a good point."
However, one person McGiffin and her fellow 'Loose Women' co-stars Denise Welch and Sherrie Hewson does approve of to join the panel is former 'Coronation Street' star Sally Lindsey, who will replace Zoe Tyler.
Denise said: "We love Sally. She just had twin boys and I think she will be a great addition. She is funny and feisty."
It was recently reported a number of 'Loose Women' presenters were threatening mutiny following the sacking of Kate and Zoe.
A source said: "All the girls were pretty peeved about the way in which Kate and Zoe were handed their notices. The women are, and were, a tight-knit bunch. They didn't feel changed needed to be done in such a dramatic fashion."
