Coronation Street's Tracy Barlow has her sights set on seduction this week.

The feisty femme fatale - played by Kate Ford - will waste no opportunity in taking full advantage of former flame Steve McDonald's (Simon Gregson) newfound single status following his split from troubled wife Becky (Katherine Kelly).

Kate explained: "Tracy has pulled out all the stops and falls over herself to let him play dad to Amy. That makes him really happy, so it seems that her plan is working perfectly.

"There are candles everywhere and she's wearing a sexy top. She's being her seductive best, but he manages to resist her. He leaves, and Tracy thinks that she's failed. But then something happens and he comes back to her."

Steve is devastated when Becky learns that he and Tracy have spent the night together, and immediately takes his frustrations out on the brunette temptress.

However, with Tracy unable to convince Steve that she didn't tell Becky about their evening of passion, she decides to flee Weatherfield for good and start a new life in London with the former couple's daughter Amy (Elle Mulvaney).

Kate added to Inside Soap magazine: "Steve's gutted and he takes it out on Tracy because he thinks she told Becky about them sleeping together. He doesn't believe Tracy when she tries to tell him that it wasn't her, and she knows there's not a chance in hell of them getting back together now.

"She's devastated, and tells her mum Deirdre that she and Amy are moving down to London right away. When Steve finds out , he insists that she can't take Amy with her, but Tracy's adamant - her mind is made up and she is leaving."
