Hollyoaks star signs up for Corrie spin-off
Former 'Hollyoaks Later' star Candy McCulloch has signed up to play Rosie Webster's model rival in a 'Coronation Street' spin-off.
Former 'Hollyoaks Later' star Candy McCulloch is to star in a 'Coronation Street' spin-off.
The ITV 1 show has created a series of web episodes featuring aspiring model Rosie Webster - played by Helen Flanagan - trying to make it big in London, and Candy has been cast opposite her as arch rival Stacey, who vies with the brunette bombshell for modelling jobs.
Helen - who recently took a break from the ITV1 soap - said: "It is fantastic being back at work and filming the exclusive Rosie spin-off.
"Candy is fun to work with and it is great for Rosie to have a rival. I think she may have met her match in Stacey."
Viewers will see Rosie talk about her plans to make it in the modelling industry in an upcoming episode of 'Corrie' before she travels to London with her boyfriend Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) to appear as a model on the 'Lorraine' show.
A spokesperson for 'Coronation Street' said: "This is a great opportunity for fans of Coronation Street to watch extra exclusive content on ITV.com that links back into the main show on ITV1."
The web episodes will go live in September.
