Cheryl Cole to make X Factor return?
Cheryl Cole is reportedly lined up to be a guest judge on the live stage of 'The X Factor'.
Cheryl Cole is reportedly in line for a surprise return to 'The X Factor'.
The 'Promise This' hitmaker - who decided against rejoining the show after being sensationally sacked on the US version of the programme - has grown increasingly close to new panellists Tulisa Contostavlos, Gary Barlow and Kelly Rowland, sparking speculation she will be one of the guest judges who joins at the live stage of the contest to give their views on the performers.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Tulisa's having a big knees-up for her 23rd birthday at London's Merah club on July 16, and all the 'X Factor' judges, cast and crew will be in attendance, as will Cheryl.
"She mingles more with the current judges than she ever did before. There is a long-standing plan in place for Cheryl to return to the show in time for the live finals. There is a fifth guest judging role there - and Simon Cowell would love for her to take it."
Earlier this week, Tulisa - who was among guests at Cheryl's recent 28th birthday party - revealed the former judge has told her to come to her for advice on the programme.
She said: "She's been lovely. She's always been someone I've admired because she came from the same background and, regardless of it being Newcastle, we're two people who have come from nothing.
"She told me that if I ever do need advice, let her know and she's here for me so that was really nice of her."
