Zoe Ball to front Strictly spin-off
Zoe Ball is taking over from pregnant Claudia Winkleman as the host of 'Strictly Come Dancing' spin-off 'It Takes Two'
Zoe Ball is the new host of 'Strictly Come Dancing' spin-off 'It Takes Two'.
The 40-year-old presenter - who finished third in the dance contest when partnered with Ian Waite in 2005 - will take over on the daily talk show from Claudia Winkleman, who is due to give birth to her third child weeks before the BBC show is due to return to screens.
Zoe said: "I am quite literally beyond elated. There has been quite a hullabaloo at home with the news.
"I'm giddy with glee and I may even have slipped into a celebratory cha-cha-cha, although technically not a very good one.
"Having been a contestant myself and hosted the 'Strictly Come Dancing' tour, it would be fair to say I'm obsessed.
"I love everything 'Strictly' - from watching the partnerships blossom and bloom to the tricky footwork, the frocks, the shock exits and, of course, the judges."
Zoe is believed to have beaten off competition from Denise Van Outen and Natasha Kaplinsky to land the job.
Producer Moira Ross said: "With Zoe's first-hand experience of the series, she's the perfect person to give viewers all the insider knowledge, gossip and news from this year's show
Claudia will still present the 'Strictly Come Dancing' results show with Tess Daly on Sundays.
