Natalie Cassidy 'still loves' Adam
Natalie Cassidy admits she is ''still in love'' with ex-fiance Adam Cottrell, who was last month banned from contacting her for two years after being found guilty of beating the actress with a slipper and smearing her with mascara
Natalie Cassidy is still "in love" with Adam Cottrell.
The former 'EastEnders' star revealed she still has feelings for her former fiance - who was last month banned from speaking to the actress for two years and sentenced to a 12-month community order and 120 hours of unpaid work after beating her with a slipper and smearing her with mascara - but "hates him" for his actions towards her.
She said: "I'm still in love with Adam but I hate him for everything he's done."
The 28-year-old actress - who has nine-month-old baby Eliza with the 31-year-old transport manager - explained she was "really worried" for her baby's safety when they were in Adam's company.
She added: "I can't believe Eliza's not even past her first birthday and I've split from her dad, I thought he was The One. I tried to make it work but it just wasn't a happy family unit towards the end.
"There were times when he got angry in the car and he'd put his foot on the accelerator and start to drive really fast with Eliza in the back.
"I'd ask him to slow down but I knew to shut up. That was really horrible. That was when I was really worried about Eliza's safety."
Natalie - who has started smoking again since splitting up with Adam - admitted she wants to forgive him, but explained "it is not the right thing to do".
She told OK! magazine: "I want to open the door and say: 'Come back, it will all be all right and we'll sort it out,' but it's not the right thing to do."
