Michelle Collins 'taking time to settle at Corrie'

Michelle Collins is "taking time" to settle in to her role in 'Coronation Street'.
After the former 'EastEnders' actress - who formerly played Cindy Beale in the BBC One soap - took on the role of new Rovers Return landlady Stella Price, she has attracted criticism for her "unrealistic" portrayal of a Manchester accent.
However, co-star Kym Marsh - who plays Michelle Connor in the ITV1 soap - thinks viewers need to give her a chance.
She said: "Michelle Collins, who plays the Rovers' new landlady, Stella Price, in 'Corrie', was criticised last week for her northern accent.
"I think viewers are finding it hard to accept because she was such a big character in 'EastEnders' and they still see her as Cindy Beale, which is not fair. People should give her a chance. She's only just joined 'Corrie' and it takes time to settle in." Meanwhile, Kym is hoping 'Loose Women' panellist and former 'Corrie' star Denise Welch will reprise her role as feisty Natalie Barnes in the ITV1 soap.
She added to new! magazine: "Campaigns have been set up on Facebook and Twitter to bring back my friend Denise Welch as Natalie Barnes. I'd love for her to return - my days at work would certainly be entertaining!"
