Gavin Henson is to star in the UK version of 'The Bachelor'.
The rugby ace - who split from singer Charlotte Church last year - has signed up to appear in the 10-part reality series on Channel 5, which will see the hunk attempt to woo 25 gorgeous girls before eventually choosing the one he is most attracted to as his girlfriend.
Filmed in a sun-drenched location in Southern Europe, the format for the show has been a huge hit in the US, where one of the contestants has even found a wife.
Gavin - who has two children, Ruby, three, and two-year-old Dexter with Charlotte - admitted he is hoping to find someone to spend the rest of his life with.
He said: "I'm so excited to have been cast as 'The Bachelor' as I really feel the time is right for me to find a girl to hopefully spend the rest of my life with. I've always been dedicated to my rugby and continue to train hard, but as the season draws to an end I can focus on meeting the right girl.
"It can be hard in my situation to meet women and 'The Bachelor' will give me the unique opportunity to go on some incredible dates and spend quality time getting to know amazing women from all over the UK."
Among those competing for Gavin's affections will be stunning models, a pair of blonde twins and a brainy web developer.
With filming already under way in the South of France, the Channel 5 series will see the girls battle it out in a number of challenges to prove they are determined to win the heart of the 29-year-old hunk.
Jeff Ford, director of programmes for the broadcaster, said: "Gavin Henson is the perfect bachelor and is hoping to find his ideal partner. I'm sure the viewers will enjoy this high-energy and exciting journey as we follow Gavin in his quest to find true love."
