Double blow for EastEnders' Janine
Janine Malloy will face a double blow when her grandmother dies and her long-long uncle arrives in Albert Square to contest the will.
'EastEnders' Janine Malloy will be devastated when her grandmother dies and her long-long uncle tries to contest the will.
The Walford schemer - played by Charlie Brooks - has recently reunited with her mum's mother Lydia Simmonds after years apart and while Janine will struggle to cope when her beloved nan (played by Margaret Tyzack) dies tomorrow night (13.06.11), the arrival of Janine's uncle Norman Simmonds (George Layton) will be another blow.
This is the latest in a series of upsets for Janine, who poisoned her husband Ryan (Neil McDermott) after discovering he was secretly seeing Stacey Branning, the mother of his baby, behind her back.
Janine's new nemesis Norman described as "hapless, clumsy and unlucky in life" will also be tempted to remain in Albert Square after bumping into a blast from his past Pat Evans (Pam St. Clement).
Speaking of joining the soap, Layton commented: "I am thrilled to be joining such a wonderful cast and crew - Norman is a great part and I'm excited to play him.
"I can't wait to get stuck into life in Albert Square - and hopefully the odd tipple or three in the Queen Vic!"
