Mandy Salter to return to EastEnders

Wild child Mandy Salter is to make a shock return to 'EastEnders'.
The drug-taking minx - played by actress Nicola Stapleton - is to make her comeback to the BBC One soap this autumn, with the former teen tearaway returning to Albert Square 17 years after she first fled Walford with her boyfriend Aiden Brosnan (Sean Maguire) to go back to his native Ireland.
Nicola, who has since appeared in 'Bad Girls', 'Hollyoaks' and 'Emmerdale', said: "I'm looking forward to playing Mandy again. It will be interesting to see what she's been up to. I'm excited to be coming back and working with some old friends."
Mandy became one of the most hated characters in the soap's history when she wreaked havoc in Albert Square after becoming involved in drug-taking, thievery, blackmail and prostitution.
However, the blonde bombshell will still be a force to be reckoned with.
An 'EastEnders' spokesperson added to The Sun newspaper: "Mandy's grown up a bit but she's still fun, chaotic and wild, with a spiteful streak.
"She is a manipulative force of nature so it's likely she'll be causing trouble for at least one of Walford's residents."
