Louis Walsh: Cheryl Cole is a distant memory
Louis Walsh thinks Cheryl Cole is a ''distant memory'' from 'The X Factor' panel
Louis Walsh thinks Cheryl Cole is a "distant memory" from 'The X Factor' panel.
The 58-year-old star explained N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos - who took over from the 'Promise This' hitmaker when she quit the ITV1 show to launch the Stateside series - is doing a "great job", as she has the perfect "girl-next-door appeal".
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "Cheryl will soon be a distant memory, believe me. Tulisa has been doing a great job and has fitted into the panel so well.
"Tulisa has that girl-next-door appeal that Cheryl had - and I'd say she's better."
Louis and Tulisa join Take That singer Gary Barlow and former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland on the show's judging panel, while Cheryl Cole no longer has any involvement after being axed from the US version of the programme last month.
Meanwhile, 'X Factor' hopefuls have reportedly been banned from discussing any of the past or present judges, or any of the details of behind the scenes on the talent series.
One wannabe said: "It was the most the most frightening thing I've seen. I was worried that I couldn't even tell my mum how I'd done. We were told that unless you signed the form you weren't allowed to do the show."
