The People's Music Awards to culminate in London
The People's Music Awards will see 14 new bands showcase at its final in London later this month
The People's Music Awards are set to take place in London later this month.
The awards are a global music contest, which sees entrants battle to be crowned the brightest new hope of 2011, culminating with a show in London later this month.
The event will see winners crowned in Indie/Rock, Hip-Hop, Dance, Male Solo Artist, Female Solo Artist, Experimental, Funk/Soul and Pop Categories.
14 groups will play at the final, held at The Scala venue in the city's King's Cross on June 18. It will also be televised on TV station Eurochannel around the world.
Bands playing at the event include Stealing Sheep, Isaac's Aircraft, Mr B. The Gentleman Rhymer, The Yesmen, Frequently Asked Questions, Aurora J. Young, Ben Maggs, Kirstenana, Antonio Simone, The Beatrix Players, Travis Singleton, Un!son, Brass B****rdz and Disco Damage.
'Hollyoaks' actress Rachel Doherty has signed up to present the Pop award, while the evening will he hosted by radio DJ Eddy Temple Morris.
