Natasha Kaplinsky to front celebrity talent show
Former newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky will host a new entertainment series, 'Born to Shine', on ITV1
Natasha Kaplinsky will front a new entertainment series, 'Born to Shine', for ITV1.
The former newsreader will return to screens for the first time since giving birth to her second child last year to front the show, which will see talented youngsters teach celebrities skills from tap dancing to rapping.
After an intensive course of training the celebrities will show off their new skills alongside their young mentors to a studio audience.
The show will be Natasha's first work for ITV, and an insider at the channel told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "She's perfect for the job."
Natasha presented news programmes on regional broadcasters Granada and Meridian and the London news Network before moving to Sky News, then the BBC before moving to Channel 5, reportedly gaining a huge salary increase, believed to make her the highest paid newsreader in Britain.
The 38-year-old star - who has children Arlo, two, and 14-month-old Angelina with husband Justin Bower - was also a contestant on the first series of 'Strictly Come Dancing', and co-presenter on the show's second series, covering maternity leave for regular host Tess Daly.
