Craig Gazey wants Corrie's Xin killed off
Craig Gazey would like his 'Coronation Street' alter-ego's wife, Xin, to be killed off so he can return to Weatherfield with their child
Craig Gazey would like his 'Coronation Street' alter-ego's wife to be killed off so he can return to Weatherfield.
The actor's character Graeme Proctor will leave the ITV1 soap next Monday (13.06.11) after falling in love with sham spouse Xin (Elizabeth Tan), and while he initially claimed he would not be back, he has already been thinking about ways he could return to the cobbles.
He said: "If I could write Graeme's comeback story, I'd maybe want him to end up widowed and return to the cobbles on his rickshaw with a child in tow. I'd love to see him deal with being a single father."
Graeme and Xin - who married in order to secure Xin a passport - are forced to flee Weatherfield after his heartbroken ex, Tina McIntyre, threatens to alert immigration officials in a bid for revenge.
Although he is leaving with Xin in tow, Craig hopes Tina (Michelle Keegan) doesn't get a new boyfriend because he still feels protective over her.
He added to Inside Soap magazine: "I reckon Tina should be a spinster for the rest of her life now. I get really jealous when I think about Tina getting together with someone else."
