Joe McElderry: 'New X Factor judges more interesting'
Former 'X Factor' winner Joe McElderry has given his support for changes in the judging panel on show, claiming it might make it ''more interesting''
Joe McElderry thinks the 'X Factor' will be "different" without judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue.
The 19-year-old singer - who won the series in 2009 before being dropped after just two singles earlier this year - is expecting the show to be "more interesting" as a result of the changes in the panel, with Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow set to join Louis Walsh.
He said: "It's going to be a different show now, which is not necessarily a bad thing. A new panel might make the show more interesting."
Despite his departure from Simon Cowell's record label, Joe - who will soon star in 'Popstar to Opera Star' alongside Andy Bell and Steps star Claire Richards - denies he is bitter about his experience and "knew" it was going to happen.
He added to Star magazine: "It was kind of expected. The second single didn't work out and that was disappointing. But I could just feel it wasn't right. I kind of knew it. I've had time to digest it and I'm OK with it all now. It's something I don't have to focus on anymore."
