Jane McDonald quit Loose Women for family
Jane McDonald left her job as a panellist on 'Loose Women' so she could spend time with her family and partner Eddie Roth.
Jane McDonald left 'Loose Women' so she could spend time with "people who matter".
The 48-year-old singer - who appeared on the panel show from 2004 up until 2010 - finished her work there as a way to have more quality time with family and friends, in particular her new partner Eddie Rothe, who she has known for the last 30 years.
She said: "People get jealous that your time is taken up with something else. I'm a lot more aware of that now and make time for people who matter. That's why I gave up 'Loose Women'. I'm very lucky to have met Eddie again and he was single.
"Normally when you meet someone after a long time they look nothing like you remembered, or they are married. My life has been a lot of being in the right place at the right time, so being back with Eddie has something of destiny about it."
Speaking last year, Jane revealed it was her music career she wanted to focus on after quitting the ITV panel show.
She said: "I am going to be taking some time out from 'Loose Women' purely because things are going to be a bit hectic over the next few months.
"I have had an absolute ball over the last six years and am going to miss everyone so much. But don't worry, when it's calmed down a bit I'll be back."
