David Essex gets EastEnders relationship with Carol Jackson
David Essex's new 'EastEnders' character Eddie will quickly become close to Carol Jackson after they bond because of a near car accident.
David Essex's new 'EastEnders' character will strike up a relationship with Carol Jackson (Lindsey Coulson).
The 63-year-old singer - who will star as Alfie Moon's mischievous uncle Eddie - will quickly become close to her when he drags Roxy Mitchell's daughter Amy out of the way of Carol's car.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Eddie and Carol have a spark and she is delighted when he makes a move on her. The attraction is there but they both have too much on their plates to start a proper relationship now.
"Eddie is desperate to build bridges with his estranged son Michael, although he's not interested in forgiving what's happened between them in the past and tries to pay him off to leave Walford.
"Carol's also got a lot on her mind with her dad Jim going into an old people's home. There's every chance that things will develop between them in the future."
Lindsey has previously revealed she went to all of David's concerts as a teenager.
She joked: "I went to all his concerts. Don't tell him - I was 14. He was lovely!"
