Big Brother bosses search for comic contestants
Big Brother talent scouts are heading to Comic Con this weekend to look for potential new housemates.
'Big Brother' chiefs are planning to scout for housemates at Comic Con.
The three-day comic book fair attracts over 60,000 fans - including stars such as Jonathan Ross, Frankie Boyle and Johnny Vegas - and talent scouts for the programme believe it is the perfect place to find some oddball characters to enter the house.
Event organiser Brian Cooney said: "'Big Brother' is looking for new faces, different people and we certainly get a lot of those.
"We attract people who like to dress up. And they don't just dress up, they become the character. We get robots, Batmen and Spider-Men, Japanese cartoon characters and apes from 'Planet of the Apes'."
As well as approaching potential contestants, those at the fair - which takes place at London's Royal Victoria Dock from Friday (27.05.11) to Sunday (29.05.11) - will be able to talk to the casting chiefs and convince them they are worth a place on the show, which is due to return to Channel 5 later this year.
Brian added to the Daily Star newspaper: "'Big Brother' will be approaching people randomly, but people can also go up to 'Big Brother' and say why they think they would be good in the house."
Show bosses have vowed to leave "no stone unturned" in their quest to find the best possible housemates for the re-vamped programme.
A source said: "It's going to be the best series ever. We are leaving no stone unturned to find the most entertaining, crazy housemates we can."
