Adam Thomas: I'm not ready to settle down
'Emmerdale's Adam Thomas says he doesn't feel ready for marriage or cohabiting yet despite being with his girlfriend Caroline for three years
Adam Thomas isn't ready to settle down with his girlfriend.
The 22-year-old 'Emmerdale' star has been dating long-term love Caroline for three years but feels it is too early to live together or think about marriage.
He said: "I still live with Danny [Miller, who plays Aaron Livesy] in Leeds when I'm filming, but when I go back to Manchester, I stay with Caroline.
"I don't want to live under the same roof just yet. We're taking it as it comes."
Adam, who plays Adam Barton in the ITV1 soap, loves spending time with his little niece Scarlett - who his brother Ryan has from a past relationship with 'Coronation Street' co-star Tina O'Brien - but isn't keen to become a father himself.
He said: "I'm not going down that route just yet. But it's beautiful spending time with her and seeing how Ryan is with her. He's a top dad."
However, while he feels it is too soon to take the next step in his relationship, Adam is very happy with Caroline and thinks they have been together for a long time because they talk through their problems.
He told new! magazine: "We're still going strong. I've been doing all right there, haven't I? She's a top girl.
"You just have to get on with it and then if there's a problem, say something. Everyone's different in their own relationship, but mine seems to be working perfectly, so I can't complain."
