Dannii Minogue has been offered a judging spot on new BBC One series 'The Voice'.

The former 'X Factor' judge - who was forced to quit the panel of the talent show due to scheduling clashes with 'Australia's Got Talent' - is also being pitched "high-profile" solo projects by ITV in a desperate bid to keep her with the channel after an angry backlash from fans in the wake of her departure announcement.

A source revealed: "This episode is turning into a disaster for ITV. There has been an overwhelming response from 'X Factor' fans saying they won't watch now Dannii isn't on the panel.

"If she works on the BBC's new show 'The Voice' it would be a real blow for 'The X Factor'. So ITV has offered several high-profile shows."

Meanwhile, music mogul Simon Cowell - who quit 'The X Factor' earlier this year to launch the US version of the series alongside former judge Cheryl Cole - has begged Dannii not to leave ITV.

The insider added to the News of the World newspaper: "He's been hinting there are projects they could work on in the future.

"The last thing he needs is for Dannii to work for his biggest rival. He's already being criticised for letting her go in the first place."

To date, Gary Barlow is the only judge confirmed for this year's 'X Factor', with former panellist Louis Walsh, as well as N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos and former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland, widely expected to take up the remaining three places.
