Gail Porter is recovering at her London home following an alleged suicide attempt.
The TV presenter was reportedly taken to hospital and detained under the Mental Health Act after she was discovered in the bathroom of her north London property with multiple cuts to her arms and chest on Wednesday night (18.05.11).
Gail, 40, was discharged from the medical centre on Thursday (19.05.11) and allowed to return to her home in Belsize Park with her boyfriend Jonny Davies, 25.
A Met police spokesman said: "Police were called to an address in Belsize Park at approximately 21.00 hours on Wednesday following concerns for the welfare of a resident.
"A woman was detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to a medical facility."
Gail's eight-year-old daughter Honey is staying with her father, former Toploader guitarist Dan Hipgrave, while the star recovers from the incident.
In 2005, Gail took an overdose of pills when her marriage to Dan imploded, and shortly after the ordeal, she began to lose her hair and was diagnosed with alopecia.
Although her blonde locks began to grow back in 2010, she sadly started to lose her hair again in January and made the decision to start shaving her head.
