Melody Thornton to appear in Popstar to Operastar
Melody Thornton and Midge Ure are the latest stars to be confirmed for 'Popstar to Operastar', joining Joe McElderry and Andy Bell in the celebrity line-up
Former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton and Midge Ure have signed up for 'Popstar to Operastar'.
The 26-year-old beauty and the Band Aid legend will join former 'X Factor' winner Joe McElderry and Erasure singer Andy Bell on the show, which was previously won by Darius Campbell.
Meanwhile, Myleene Klass is presenting the series, which is also rumoured to have A-Ha star Morten Harket taking part.
Joe - who only released two singles before being dropped from his record contract - is said to be excited by the prospect of taking part in the show.
A source recently said: "Joe loves to sing - he's not bothered about what people will say. He will prosper from doing a show like this.
"He's incredibly talented and thinks appearing on the show could open up a whole new chapter. He's always loved the West End and thrill of performing live - it's when he's at his best."
"Considering the deal with Syco has just fizzled out, Joe's in a great place right now. He's investing his money wisely and making sure he has something to show for all of his hard work."
