Alesha Dixon to stick with Strictly
Alesha Dixon will continue to be a judge on 'Strictly Come Dancing', despite rumours that she is leaving the BBC One show for ITV1 rival 'The X Factor'.
Alesha Dixon is to remain on the judging panel of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
While the 32-year-old singer was hotly-tipped to be leaving the BBC One celebrity dancing show in favour of taking up a judging role on its ITV1 rival 'The X Factor', her manager has now confirmed she will return to 'Strictly' at the start of the next series.
Malcolm Blair said: "Contrary to recent speculation, Alesha is committed to 'Strictly' and looks forward to taking her place on the judges' panel when the show returns."
With 'The X Factor' having lost Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole to the US version of the show, Alesha was widely-rumoured to be appearing in a revamped line-up alongside Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh and Take That singer Gary Barlow.
Although she is not joining the talent search series, Alesha has admitted 'The X Factor' is "much more creative" than 'Strictly' because the judges are able to mentor the contestants.
She told Star magazine: "I think it's great on 'The X Factor' that the judges get to mentor.
"It's much more creative. We don't do that on 'Strictly', we just comment. I'm into anything that enables me to use my creativity."
