Simon Cowell is planning to shoot Cheryl Cole out of a rocket in new series 'Red Or Black'.
The 51-year-old music mogul's new game show - presented by Ant and Dec - could make seven millionaires in one week by allowing contestants to bet red or black on a series of bizarre gambles, for example whether a stuntsman will grab a red or black parachute when he jumps out of a plane.
With the likes of Robbie Williams and Cheryl taking part in and hosting some of the challenges, Simon revealed he is hoping to strap the Geordie beauty to a huge rocket and fire her into the sky.
He joked to The Sun newspaper: "We're going to tell her it's just a big firework. I'm almost tempted to do it myself.
The 'X Factor' judge - who has recently quit the UK series of the talent contest to launch the show in the US - also explained he hoped launching the show would counteract some of the "rubbish", which is on TV at the moment.
He added: "It's the biggest thing we've ever done. It rarely happens on TV and that's what excited us. Every night someone will be standing in front of an enormous wheel and will have to make that decision - gamble for a million.
"We see a lot of rubbish shows on TV at the moment so we're going to do something that has never been seen before and that will give regular punters the chance to win a million."
However, Simon admitted the series was a gamble, with the makers behind the show having to take out special insurance in case all seven contestants won the £1 million prize.
He explained: "It's always a gamble as you wonder if anyone is going to watch. The problems we are going to have making this show are going to be a nightmare. If everyone wins it will cost us a bit of money.
"I'd love to take it around the world. I think the concept works, but it's a very expensive show to make. You can't do it small."
