Elle Macpherson won't retire
Elle Macpherson, 48, knows she will gradually get offered less work but can't see herself ever retiring completely.
Elle Macpherson can't see herself ever retiring.
The 48-year-old supermodel - who has her own underwear line, body product range, is spokeswoman for Revlon Colour Cosmetics and is set to host US TV show 'Fashion Star'- expects she will gradually get offered less work as she gets older but doesn't think she will ever make the decision to step away from the spotlight.
She said: "I'm sure there will be a point where there are less opportunities for me but I don't think there'll be one particular day when I say, 'That's it, I'm not doing it anymore.'Or maybe, who knows?"
Elle - who has sons Flynn,13, and Cy, eight, with former fiance Arpad Busson - currently fits her work schedule around her family and is happy to work longer hours if she knows she is due to take a break with the children.
She explained to Closer magazine: "It's important my sons recognise I am a financially independent, fulfilled mother doing what she loves to do, but they always know they come first.
"Sometimes if I know I'm going to be spending a month on holiday with them, I might work longer hours just before we go on vacation but I don't mind and they don't mind."
